the ecstasy never lasts.

Ignorance is Bliss
Bliss is Ignorance
you cannot be truly happy, because there is no true happiness without disappointment.
well, the disappointment may not be inflicted on yourself, but on others instead.
in every match there is always the victor and the loser
every test the scholar and the failure
every world cup the golden boot and the big flop
i guess we all have to learn to deal with disappointment because we cannot simply run away from it everytime we face it. disappointment is inevitable (sorry but i love using this word).
the only way you won't feel disappointed, however, is when there are simply no expectations. either that or you simply have no heart or compassion.
expectations, what gives rise to expectations?
perhaps the desire to succeed? and the overwhelming self-confidence of a success coming out of it.
however, remember. for every match, there will always be a victor and a loser. there is absolutely no way both parties can be happy.
the only possible way, however, is a tie, in which both parties do not actually win but they lose because they do not satisfy that desire for a win.
my distaste for intense competition brings me to another point.
why so competitive? what will it earn you in the end? scholarship?
whats the use of a scholarship if you lose all your friends in the process.
GG. good grades? for what. if in the end you grow up without a proper childhood, without developing the proper life skills which you cannot just pick up by reading a textbook over and over again for 50 times.
life skills such as social skills, decision-making, stress and anger management. these are just some of the few skills you can't just pick up by reading a textbook over and over again till 3am or something.
sorry muggers, life doesn't work that way. the scholarship you have and the certs don't mean shit if you don't have the character to back it up.
the rich give back to society.
look at Bill Gates and that second richest guy dude. they donated millions to some charity thing they set up.
well, what goes around comes around and i guess that they felt the social obligation to return to society what they've received, good for them...
well, a toast to all of life's good things...
false happiness
false hope
plastic smiles
and a toast to sincere happiness....
