[[what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.]]

except assesment week. but then again, assesment week kills you. so either way, you die. sucks to everyone who's happy about assesment week. goodbye sciences!

anyway, johnson asked me a question on the bus today. say, you have a diamond in your bag and you suddenly realise it's missing. what'll you do? nobody has got off the bus, and the thief is definitely still on this bus. at the next stop, someone whom you suspect gets off the bus. do you

1) get off and give chase
2) hang around on the bus to carry on searching?

of these 2 options, there are consequences.

if you get off and give chase and realise the person is not the thief, you're screwed.

if you hang around on the bus to carry on searching, and realise the person you suspected was actually the thief, you're also screwed.

which would you choose? you have to make this decision quick. time is running out.

but anyway, the moral of the story is:

well sometimes in certain situations we are expected to make quick and rational decisions. however, under such intense pressure, we make decisions out of haste and may end up regretting, maybe for the rest of our life.

johnson's words of wisdom. they really opened my eyes.

well he also told me, this can relate to relationships. i guess this is very true. sometimes we are required to make quick decisions, but in the moment, we could make decisions without thinking, due to time constraint and constant pressure. in the end, if we make the wrong decision, we only end up regretting. and what can we do about it? well, actually nothing. except maybe take better care of the diamond while you still have it.

you don't know what you've got till you've lost it. this is so cliche, yet it is so true. sometimes you don't appreciate something till you lose it. then you finally realise how much something meant to you, but by then it would've been too late. in the end, you're stuck in a world of shit and you're left with nothing. that must really suck.

well some word of advice, appreciate what you have, no matter how much or how little, because having something is good enough. some people have nothing. yeah we got our shit, but we do have some nice things too. i hope.

well then, you might ask, with so many material goods, why are some people still so miserable? sometimes, life isn't just about material goods. there's so much more to life, but that's for us to find out. well, sometimes these material goods may not be enough to make up for all the shit that we go through.

i've said this once, i'll say it again.

life is such a bore. life is a routine. life is a vicious cycle.

life sucks. no matter how much you enjoy life, c'mon, face reality. life is full of shit.

lucky for me, there are days like today to help me cope with my shit.

stayed back after school to play soccer, then went lan with the guys, then me johnson colin went to the xbox place. what a day.

jared the poonzorz joined us too. haha. everyone left after the lan, except me johnson and colin. played xbox : winning eleven 8, then went for dinner. this was the most trash talk dinner i've ever had. HAHAHA. i won't even start on what we talked about. just some keywords...er..5 year old boy...cow...mermaid...genie..jim carrey....rhinoceros...1 foot....1 and a half feet...goats....erm. there's still more but i really don't wanna elaborate :D

anyway, some shoutouts to people, although they may not read my blog =/

congrats huijun! no income tax (:
all the best to andrew! you can do it (:
yh...YOU OWE ME A PERFECT GAME AND YOU BETTER DEDICATE IT TO ME :D

i have so much more to say, but i don't know how to express it. today was such a great day, yet i didn't get a good feeling at the end of the day. this shows that no matter how great your day is, even the slightest thing could ruin everything else.
